چکیده

This paper outlines a practical approach to the formal development of multi-agent systems (MAS). Rigorous design practices are needed if MAS are to be used for critical applications. Event-B is a formal method that can be used in the development of reactive systems. Decomposition is used as part of the approach to reduce the complexity of modelling MAS. The experience of modelling MAS Interaction Protocols in Event-B using a decomposition method is described. Future work is required to further model MAS.

Event-B based Verification of Interaction Properties In Multi-Agent Systems

This paper presents a new event-B based approach to reasoning about interaction protocols. We show how an event-B model can be structured from AUML protocol diagrams and then used to give a formal semantic to protocol diagrams which supports proofs of their correctness. More precisely, we give rules for the translation of protocol diagrams into event-B language. In particular, we focus on the t...

Process algebraic modeling of authentication protocols for analysis of parallel multi-session executions

Many security protocols have the aim of authenticating one agent acting as initiator to another agent acting as responder and vice versa. Sometimes, the authentication fails because of executing several parallel sessions of a protocol, and because an agent may play both the initiator and responder role in parallel sessions. We take advantage of the notion of transition systems to specify authen...

Fault Detection and Isolation of Multi-Agent Systems via Complex Laplacian

This paper studies the problem of fault detection and isolation (FDI) for multi-agent systems (MAS) via complex Laplacian subject to actuator faults. A planar formation of point agents in the plane using simple and linear interaction rules related to complex Laplacian is achieved. The communication network is a directed, and yet connected graph with a fixed topology. The loss of symmetry in the...

Automatic Calibration of HEC-HMS Model Using Multi-Objective Fuzzy Optimal Models

Estimation of parameters of a hydrologic model is undertaken using a procedure called “calibration” in order to obtain predictions as close as possible to observed values. This study aimed to use the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for automatic calibration of the HEC-HMS hydrologic model, which includes a library of different event-based models for simulating the rainfall-runoff pr...

Modelling Multi-agent Interaction Protocols Using Categories Enriched over Pointed Sets

The study of multi-agent systems is proving to be an exciting and active research field within computer science. Communication is an important aspect of multi-agent systems, and the protocols that are used to provide a shared definition of what agents can say to each other, along with the meaning of what agents say, receive much attention from researchers. At present, there are a number of well...
